In 2002, a team of 6 independent Thai volunteer teachers joined a REST/Reef-World workshop to learn about coral reefs and related ecosystems, in preparation for working with local fishing communities of Koh Yao Noi island, east of Phuket.

The Share The Sea programme was re-worked and used alongside the Reef-World courses designed for tourists. The result was an interactive and practical introduction to coral reefs and the animals that live on and around them.
