From 1999 to the present day, dive operators can report sightings of Whale Sharks to the Reef-World Foundation.

It is important to note that we do not release this information – it is collected purely as data for research purposes on behalf of the PMBC in a study to understand their migration patterns.

We collect data and pass it on to the appropriate team at the PMBC. This is fed into a national database and used to help understand global migration patterns of this very important animal. Thanks.
